Rustic Wood Stoves supplies and installs wood-burning stoves, inserts, cookstoves and furnaces across the United States. We are a retailer, not a manufacturer: we buy through distribution from established North American builders and we fit what we sell.
What we carry
Most of the range comes from Stove Builder International in Quebec, which has been making heaters since 1978 and supplies the Drolet, Osburn, Enerzone and Caddy lines. We also stock Englander, J.A.ROBY and Ventis. These are steel and cast-iron appliances built for North American winters and tested to North American standards, which matters more than it sounds — a stove certified in Europe is not certified here.
The standard we hold it to
Every stove on this site publishes its EPA certification status and its measured particulate emission rate. If we cannot document that a model is certified, it does not go on the site. That is a legal duty on us as the retailer, and it is also the only honest way to sell a wood heater.
Supply, or supply and fit
You can buy a stove from us and arrange your own installation, or we can survey, fit and hand you the paperwork for the permit. A stove is only as good as the flue it is connected to, and most of the problems we get called out to are chimney problems.
